Prayer service for Seton Hall shooting victims set for Wednesday

A prayer service has been announced for the Seton Hall community to remember the victims of Saturday's deadly house party shooting, according to a University broadcast e-mail.

The event will take place at 4 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 6) in Walsh Gymnasium.

The shooting took the life of 19-year-old sophomore Jessica Moore, whose funeral services will be held Saturday in Virginia.

The broadcast e-mail also references the prayer service being for those who were hurt, including sophomore Nakeisha Vanterpool and freshman Nicosia Henry.

Interim University President Dr. Gabriel Esteban says in the e-mail that "this is an opportunity for us to come together in solidarity as the family that we are."

Students are asked to wear "Pirate blue" at the prayer service.
