Bascus to be extradited

Marcus Bascus, the alleged accomplice in the off-campus house party shooting that killed Jessica Moore and injured two other Seton Hall students, is being extradited back to New Jersey, as reported by the Wilkes-Barre Times Leader.

Bascus, 19, of East Orange, N.J., waived his right to an extradition hearing today before Judge David Lupas of Luzerne County, Pa., as reported by the Wilkes-Barre Times Leader.

Lupas said that an extradition order would be issued to New Jersey officials to transport Bascus back to N.J. within the next 10 days, as reported by Luzerne County's CitizensVoice.com.

Bascus was detained on Sept. 29 in an apartment bathroom located at 316 N. Empire Court in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. at 3:30 p.m., by East Orange police, Essex County Prosecutor's Office and the United States Marshals Services.

Bascus is charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, four counts of attempted murder and weapons charges.
