University to offer second Saturday SHUFLY

The Department of Public Safety and Security and Parking Services will run a second SHUFLY shuttle Saturday, Sept. 25 in hopes of addressing overcrowding and preventing students from being turned away.

Parking Services Manager Ann Szipszky said the second shuttle is tentatively scheduled to run from 1:30 to 9:30 p.m., with a driver break, and will likely run half an hour behind the first shuttle. The detailed schedule, Szipszky said, should be available Friday morning.

Szipszky encourages students to ride the SHUFLY shuttles on Saturday because it will be the test for whether they continue using a second shuttle on the weekends.

Szipszky attributed the second shuttle to students who came to her with concerns about the shuttle's overcrowding.

"Hopefully students will see the importance of coming to the university and telling us their problems so that we can address them," Szipsky said.
