Mackin withdraws candidacy from presidential search

Presidential candidate Father Kevin E. Mackin withdrew his name for consideration on Tuesday at 4:50 p.m.

Joseph LaSala, the chair of the Presidential Search and Screen Committee informed the Seton Hall community of Mackin's withdrawal through a broadcast email shortly after on Tuesday.

LaSala said that the committee will determine "how to move forward" within "the coming days."

The Setonian interviewed each candidate exclusively prior to Mackin's announcement of withdrawal. Both interviews will be featured on the front page of the April 15 print edition of The Setonian.
