New coach at the Hall

Seton Hall has a found a new coach – but for its brand new athletic program, not the basketball teams that also have job vacancies.

Sara Doell will be the first ever to lead the Pirates' women's golf team, as announced on Friday by Ginger Fulton of Seton Hall Athletics.

"We are very pleased to add a head coach of Sara's experience and enthusiasm to the Seton Hall family," Fulton said. "We look forward to watching her foster this program from the ground up and mold it into a contender."

The women's golf team was created in the wake of the decision to eliminate the track and field programs at the Hall. Doell will begin her term immediately as the team plans to compete this upcoming fall.

Doell was previously an assistant coach at Penn State, her alma mater (2000), where she holds the Nittany Lions' record for lowest 54-hole score.

She was also the team captain for Penn State during her senior year.
